Over the course of one year I lead the Troika creative team in the visual deliverables for a seven tiered network branding project. We delivered a different look for various nights.
I first began to approach this brand identity from the lens of “Elevated Reality”. I pitched a few ideas in meetings that went over well so I started taking a crack at initial frames. I wanted to make something that involved real textures and materials so that later down the line, integration into live action would make the normal materials, now out of place, feel a bit magical.
Along the way, after about 50 logo submissions the client finally landed on a brand mark and a design direction. I began to iterate countless design comps that could fit within the new world of BYUtv. I explored various shapes, textures, lighting setups, color and camera techniques.
Over the course of the year I lead the team at Troika to deliver hundreds of files such as: Promos, Interstitials, Branded Reveals, Network ID’s, Logo Buttons, Lower Thirds, Poster, Banners, Loops, Promotional Print Collateral, Keynote Presentations and much more. Below is an example ID for Adventure.
